Last Minute Hen Weekends in Spain

October might be wet and windy here but the sun's still shining in Spain! Last minute sun holidays make fab hen weekends. Grab the girls, bag a cheapie deal and top up your tan while every else is in jumpers.

There are city breaks, beach breaks, resort deals and spa weekends to choose from. As high season is officially over and the kids back at school, flights, hotel rooms and apartments are all far less expensive. Before you make do with a hen night in your local pubs and bars, it's well worth checking out deals on last minute hen weekends.

In some cases, jetting off to Spain out of season can be just as affordable as staying in the UK.

Barcelona

One of the most popular locations for hen weekends in Spain, Barcelona solves the problem of having to choose between beach and city break. When I went, we decided to do sightseeing in the morning and spend the afternoon sunbathing on Barceloneta beach. It worked really well. I got to see the Sagrada Familia and my sun-worshipping best mate got to top up her tan.

As I write this blog post, it's currently 24 degrees in Barcelona! The average temperature for October is 18 degrees. Expect showers but because it's warm and still quite humid,

Puerto Banus

October is a good month for last minute hen weekends in Puerto Banus.  Spain's swankiest resort enjoys daily highs of around 22 degrees right now. Marbs enjoys very long summers and mild winters. If you just want to chill, avoid the crowds, do a little designer shopping and hang out by the marina, October is a great time to come to Puerto Banus.

Ibiza

When the clubs close their doors, Ibiza becomes a totally different kind of hen do destination. If you want to see the ‘real' Ibiza, October is the time to fly over. Superclub Pacha actually stays open for the locals right into the winter months and a couple of clubs and bars have great Halloween parties.

Check out the hippy markets and festivals, go exploring and enjoy temperatures of around 21 degrees. It's definitely still shorts weather and you can wander around quite comfortably in your summer clothes until at least the start of November.

Malaga

Often confused with Marbella, Malaga is in fact very different from the super swanky celebrity playground. The capital city of the Costa del Sol is fast becoming a top autumn sun destination. If you're looking for last minute hen weekends in the sun, Malaga City is a fantastic choice. Like Barcelona, this place combines city and beach break in one. Think long golden sandy beaches, winding streets, brilliant tapas bars and shedloads of festivals.

The average temperature in Malaga is 23 degrees in October. You will get more showers but only for 9 days on average throughout the month.
